Archive Materials

We have recently received some additions to our archives. These include this interesting postcard by W Dowell, photographic artist, 45 East High Street, Forfar. It dates from pre 1883 as this is when the church was fitted with new pews and the session house/ vestry/ vestibule added at a cost of £341 2/5d.

Mr Rick Krehbiel whose grandfather emmigrated to Canada in 1906 has sent an old picture of the church building. This one by Will Forbes, Letham, is dated around 1906 and was sent to his family in Canada. Mr Krehbiel visited in March 2011 and has links with Dunnichen through Anderson, Smith, Bain and Tarbat families.
